A bit about my product range
The Owlery produce bold and individual home and giftware products using original lino cut and screen print surface designs featuring British woodland and coastal motifs. Surface print designs are developed from simple single lino cut and screen print images into complex and interesting surface patterns.

The Owlery design and create textile, paper, ceramic and wooden products that are functional and visually appealing with just a hint of whimsy. They believe in the accessibility of art, aiming to fill each home with a burst of colour and modern, quality contemporary design.

I started an Etsy shop because…
I started an Etsy shop because I was keen to sell my work to a wider market. Etsy has given me the opportunity to sell my work all around the world, from the UK to the USA to Thailand, Germany and Poland.

There is nothing I love more than sending my work to a new country!

I feel inspired by…
My biggest inspiration is the world around me. I am a through and through animal lover and there is nothing I love more than a trip to the zoo or wildlife park. I am also a sucker for a documentary and love (particularly) watching documentaries about birds. The obvious example here is David Attenborough who wowed the world with Zoo Quest right through to Planet Earth and he is a true inspiration.

When I’m making, I like to listen to…
I typically like to watch something as opposed to listen to something. I kind of half watch and half listen to a lot of different series which includes the X Files, ER, Stranger Things and Dexter. I love a good crime or medical drama and really enjoy being able to steam through a few boxsets or series in the studio!

My favourite product to make is…
I love making my mini headphone wallets. These are such a handy little product to pop on your keys and they are rather satisfying to make but also rather fiddly! I usually make them in quite large numbers and will have a zip sewing rampage before spending a day sewing them all around.

My plans for the future are…
I am keen to continue building my physical and online presence. I have recently sent orders from Rtsy and to shops and galleries all around the world and I would love to get my work to as many countries as possible. I will be attending some huge trade fairs in the new year so who knows where my work will end up!
